How Many Languages Exist?

According to the Ethnologue, there are 7.097 languages still spoken in the world today. Most of them originate in Latin America, Asia, and Africa. Even Oceania, a continent with not a lot of people living there, is home to thousands of people who speak minority (or endangered) languages!
